Tubular Hardfacing Electrodes

Axis Welding tubular hardfacing electrodes are used in many industries including mining, cement, agriculture, steel, sugar, recycling and heavy industry.

With labour and maintenance costs on the rise the world over, your customers must get value for money, especially when it comes to hardfacing and repair. If expensive equipment or machinery is not working at its optimal level, then profits are being left on the table.

Cutting corners on quality is not an option when faced with the real cost of premature failure. With AW tubular electrodes you and your customers can have confidence in the outcome.

We have around ten standard grades of electrodes ranging from basic Chrome Carbides to Complex and Tungsten Carbides. The electrodes can be used with either AC or DC power, in the field or in the workshop.

When multi-layers are required, no slag chipping or brushing is needed, as there is little or no residual slag.

Special non-alloyed flux coating does not absorb any moisture at all, meaning these tubular electrodes have an almost infinite storage life.

The electrodes are available in 3 different sizes, depending on the job. 6mm is used for vertical and overhead welding, 8mm for medium sized jobs and 12mm to lay down maximum material in the shortest possible time.

The tubular construction of the electrode permits extremely high alloy content and ensure highly enriched deposits at all times.

Additional Product Features:

  • Excellent service life, compared with standard stick electrodes
  • Easy to weld, even with low-skilled welders
  • Virtually no slag deposit
  • 6mm can be welded at 80A, 8mm can be welded at 120A, 12mm can be welded at 195A. Low Amps = Low Dilution and Less Distortion = Better Composition
  • Swaged Aluminium Stub on 8mm and 12mm electrodes allow attachment to any welding torch
  • Can be used in all weather conditions
